They're not too bad, and yes they do add a lot more pep than the 27tpi Nates that were on there before. I have been doing a lot of mixed miles of pavement, dirt and gravel in one ride and they do well across the board and really well on asphalt.

Here's my Raleigh Tokul 27.5
It's loaded down for a bikpacking trip with my Oveja Negra frame bag, seat pack, and the "lunch box" handle bar bag holding my dry bag on the bars. I also have a basic dump pouch to carry my camera on the backside of the bars.
Besides being my single track and trail bike I've also taken it bikepacking in Big South Fork and even mounted a rod holder for a fishing trip to Hunting Island. It's nice to be able to cover some ground with my gear once I've parked the Tacoma.
I really like it, but after some test drives I have the 27.5+ bug pretty bad.

Ha. Once the big tire bug bites, it rarely lets go...
I picked up a pair, and am having a bear of a time mounting them tubeless on my Rolling Darryls. They're on the thin side, I know, but dayum they are fiddly. Did you have similar issues, and if so, find a workaround?

Yeah I got to ride a 29+ out in Nevade last month and while it wasn't as nimble as I'd like for my local hardwoods I can definitely see the 27.5+ hitting the sweet spot.

My '14 Salsa Mukluk II bikepacking setup, it's going to be mostly 7 days or less trips in '16 to test the setup(and myself) before heading to Europe in '17 for a 3 months bikepacking trip in Switzerland, France, Italy and maybe Spain....Might split the 3 months in two and spend one half either on the Continental Divide or Northern Quebec(Nunavik)

Moab has some great terrain for fat bikes in Winter and in Summer. Sandy washes are where it's at!
Nice to know! We are always looking for places to knock down miles on the fat bikes. Great shot.
