The folks that sell the Flip Pac

I live in California, and ordered a Flip-Pac for my Toyota Tundra on August 31st by phone. Diane was a delight to work with, and was extremely helpful and informative, answering all my questions in detail. She gave me a delivery estimate of 13-14 weeks, which would put delivery in the first week of December.

I made a follow-up call 5 weeks later and firmed up an installation appointment of December 6th at 11 AM, right in line with her original estimate.

I'm looking forward to being a member of the FP Club, and to taking advantage of the knowledge and experience other members have as I contemplate how I might best finish off the interior.

I was killing time on craigslist today and came across this. I have no idea if anything in it is true, but it sounds like FRP has made a friend

PRODUCT FROM FACTOR DIRECT IS POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE AND REPAIRS AT THE FACTORY ARE VERY POOR .

BEFORE YOU BUY ONE FROM THEM READ THIS!!!!

THE REAL NAME IS CORONA FIBERGLASS REINFORCED PRODUCTS INC. HOWEVER THIS IS A TWIST TO THIS!

THE CORP. WAS SUSPENDED BY THE STATE OF CA. SO IT IS FRP AND A SOLE OWNERSHIP, SO THE OWNER

HOMERO P. MONTELONGO IS NOT PROTECTED BY A CORP. ANY LONGER.

HIS ASSETS ARE GOOD TO GO AFTER .

THE OTHER QUESTION IS WHY IS THE TENT PART NOT FIRE RETARDANT ??
WHAT ABOUT THE SAFETY WHERE ARE THE MATERIALS FROM AND WHAT ARE THEY MADE OF ????????????

WE WILL BE CHECKING INTO IT AND LET YOU KNOW. AFTER ALL WHO WANTS TO BURN UP???? !!!

i AM AN OWNER. THESE PEOPLE DON'T EVEN KNOW HOW TO SAY THEY ARE SORRY, THEY ARE A REAL SORRY COMPANY TO DO BUSINESS WITH. !!

FOR HOE THE TREAT THE CUSTOMER AND HOW THEY DO A SHABBY JOB OF REPAIRING THEIR PRODUCT. ONE REPAIR SEAMS TO LEAD TO ANOTHER ONE , WHICH THEY CAUSED!!!

THIS IS A LACK OF RESPONSIBLE WORK MAN SHIP!!

BAD BUSINESS ,,, BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE RESULTS!!!!!UNDER UNIFORM COMMERCIAL CODE THEY ARE RESPONSIBLE

AND WILL BE IN COURT IF THEY DON'T COMPLY. LEMON LAW,

WILL BE PLACING MORE NOTICES IN DIFFERENT PARTS OF THE COUNTRY. DIFFERENT STATES.

THEY CANT' FLAG THEM ALL. BUT YOU MUST BE AWARE OF THEM.

SCAM

http://inlandempire.craigslist.org/rvs/3357411310.html looks like a scam. It has already been removed. Checking with all State of California Departments I have not found anything negative regarding FRP (or its variant). Checking with the BBB shows no complaints.
I bought a used Flippac from a private owner that needed a little work and Dianne was very helpful getting the parts. They even stayed late one night so I could pick up the part. Customer service is excellent in my book.
Cheers

I don't have a flippac and don't plan on ever having one (just does not fit the way i like to camp) but hopefully it is just a disgruntled guy and not an actual problem. I know many people that have them and would hate to hear that they may have issues down the road.

A post like that in all caps and with that many spelling and grammatical errors is an instant flag to me that I shouldn't waste the energy to move my eyes left to right past the first line.. ridiculous. hah.

I don't own a FlipPac... yet... but I sent an email in to the FRP to get an estimate for my '77 Chevy and after couple weeks, and eyeballing their website (half my schooling degree was based in and around graphic design software), I decided they must have gone out of business or something - hah. Then after almost a month I did get an email back from Diane with pricing and all that.

In all of my research outside of their company on the product itself, it definitely looks worth the "hassle" that might come to actually get one. I love the product and think its an amazing idea. I hope by the time I save up enough money to buy one, their company (or other companies that handle them) can hook me up without too much grief.

I'm glad to hear the main issues raised in this thread were softened upon receipt of the product! Great to know that after the long dark tunnel, that light is the real deal. :D

Thanks for all the input everyone! :D
