after reading this tread I have to say some of you guys are pretty ruff!!! Be happy they are getting a stock vehicle out there and using a 4wd. Promoting what we here on this forum love to do!!!!!!! I am a toyota guy and was forwarded the video on facebook from a friend that has a defender. I came here to look for more info on this trip. Everyone here in the "LAND ROVER" section should be applauding them for promoting the brand. Geezz i'm going back to my toyota section.

I too have complained over the last few years how Land Rover had abandoned their roots and those of us that like the brand less for soccer mom'ing and more for their original intentions.

That's a great video. I still think it's great that LRNA did this trip and the more of this they do the better. I would like all the naysayers and people bashing this trip for various reasons to post a 6 minute video of a "cooler" trip that you have competed yourself in a stock Rover. It looks like there are some clips of the vehicles in Off Road mode going faster than 25 or 30 mph, does anyone know if they were using IID tools for this trip?

Beautiful video. Thanks for posting. I think the Henson's, who completed their crossing a few years ago, would take issue with this claim though: "Motorcycles have made the crossing on what's called the Trans America Trail. Never though, we believe, has a proper vehicle."
