The highlander comment was certainly a dig on the 200 from a 100 owner

Time will tell how good the 200 is...

A couple of times I've seen a new Highlander and thought it was a new Cruiser. The look is certainly a strong family resemblance.

Sounds fun. I'm assuming this is a test for OJ. I'm curious to hear your impressions of it. Sounds like an amazing piece of kit, but man that thing is complicated.

At SEMA, I stood right next to the upfitted series 200
and asked myself, "Why did they spend so much money
on a Highlander?" It took a minute before I tumbled to
the fact that I was looking at the new Land Cruiser.

Look at it another way. The 200 series will be all but
invisible at the mall or in a grade school parking lot.

How are you planning to run from Mojave to Moab? Mostly pavement? Do you have the route we can see? I'd like to do that trip someday also.
