The not-so-moody Moody's in Moab Feb. 2009

Moody

Needs to get out more
Spent the weekend in Moab with my uber-cool family. Very warm and comfortable days with cool nights. Alexander and I tracked a coyote up a small wash, found some rocks, and enjoyed the sun.
Other than a little bit of four wheeling and relaxing, we made some new friends, Jason and Marci Dahl, along with their little dog Scout. We ran into each other at the Shell station, and then later on Fins N Things. After inviting them to run more of the trail with us, we also offered to share our camp spot up Bartlett Wash with them, and spent the evening and day getting to know each other, and finding out just how small our world really is.

Our camp up Bartlett Wash:

We stopped at our secret camping spot to enjoy the view before calling it in and heading home...

I'm thinking Logan Canyon and Bear Lake... but I would be happy going back to Colorado too.

Alexander is 4.75 (turns 5 next month) and Olivia is 20 months. Both of my kids have been camping since just after their birth, so they are well-acquainted with the wild world.

Thanks for your kind words...
