I just rebuilt my entire system and it brakes really well, but i still need to rebuild suspension, steering, and upgrade to the 100mm CVs so if i'm going to go back in, may as well move to the 315mm setup if it works out.

I'm so looking forward to the updated wheeling video to show the front locker, t case gear, 35's, Idler, and the ADD suspension, and big brakes. To compare to the last video and see how all the new stuff stacks up

I'm looking forward to delivering that!

The brake upgrade is great! Huge improvement, I'm going to drive PA_JERO'S Montero to compare his new brakes to mine. We have the same pads and rotors except his are the standard size, that way we'll know if the improvement is just in the carbon fiber brakes and not the bigger rotors.

Started on the stainless steel skid plate conversion, this one is for maximum clearance and takes place of the sway bar. I'm going to make a standard mounting skid as well for running with a sway bar.

Happy to help my friends here! I took the truck on the highway for the first time since the new suspension and tires and WOW! This thing hasn't been this quiet in years, I mean eerie quiet and smooth. Once I got used to the silence and determined it was ok to turn on some jams I kind of forgot I was driving the big truck and soon I realized I was passing cars pretty quickly. I looked down at my speedometer and I was doing 90mph like it was nothing, I let off and coasted back to 65mph (because laws and big truck safety). I'm really pleased to have the truck feeling better than I can even remember. This is how I imagine a brand new Gen 2 would feel.

Once the mechanical stuff and upgrades are done I will start working on the cosmetics of the machine, I refreshed the interior last year so maybe i'll just replace the speakers again (installed upgraded speakers way back in 2005). Then paint the body and bumpers to keep the Az rust from discoloring my steel

Monstaliner?

I got the samples, i like the bright blue but I'm not sold on it yet. I kind of think i would treat the truck nicer if it was a real paintjob.

Rust?

Yeah, you can see the brownish color on my bumper and winch plate. I think i can get it off with a scotchbrite pad then paint it so it stays metal.

Is the truck less sketchy sans front sway with the ADD suspension than it is with stock? I tried driving mine exactly once without front sway on the street. Some poo came out.

A lot less, still might scare a few guys though as it has 0 sway bars. No sway bars is not for everyone, the good thing about sway bars is that you can use them to essentually tune your suspension. The lift springs (ADD, OME, JAOS, etc) are much firmer than stock and if the ride becomes to hard you can try without a front or rear or both sway bars to achieve the feel you like..

But the truck without any sway bars is not sketchy at all in my opinion, it was really really bad before with worn out everything, bent draglink, bent UCA, bad tires. Feels like a brand new machine now, it's unreal.
