I guess, sort of out of order but here is what I've got. Measuring for shocks.

So once this is all done, if I hooked a hoist to your front bumper and lifted up the front of your truck, what will be holding this whole new assembly from dropping down?

Well, a number of connections but supporting the weight will be limit straps. These will keep the coilovers from carrying the weight.

So i made a quick temporary steering gear mount so i can start working on making steering parts. This allowed me to cut down and modify the splined end of the steering shaft.

Deleting it, luckily a fair number of Monteros came without ABS so i already know how to reroute, the parts are cheap and available. With the ABS motor out of the truck i have room for the ARB Twin Air to mount.

I haven't had ABS the entire ten-ish years I've had my 95. The first several years, I didn't even know that, as a previous owner had removed the underhood fuse/solenoid so the in-dash light didn't light up. I'll likely be doing the same removal to mine when it comes time to mount an ARB twin myself.

So, I've know Toasty, Pa_Jero and much of the rest of the Crew for probably 15 years. It really makes me kind of proud to see just how much progress they've made personally and professionally. If I had millions of dollars, I'd make them an offer they couldn't refuse and we'd open our own Montero repair/upgrade garage (at least until the money ran out!). Note: I do not have millions of dollars...yet, mu-hoo-ha-ha.
