Years ago (5 - 10), I saw a show on the discovery channel (or something similar) with a wheelchair that would "walk" up and down stairs, stand up on 2 tires (allowing access to higher countertops, etc), etc. It was pretty amazing to see someone sitting in the wheel chair, standing on 2 tires and catching large bags of flour (rice, beans, something?????) that were being tossed at him. The chair never fell over.mcvickoffroad said:...the makers of the segway have and are also developing a wheel chair version. It is more urban friendly than the Tank Chair and is designed to walk up and down stairs, and suitible for use in homes and office buildings.

But the tank chair would blow it away offroad, that tank chair is surprisingly fast for how heavy it must be!
