Regretfully, the time has come to part with my Uber rare and highly coveted Entdecker.

If you are familiar with these Uber rare Gelandewagen, then no description is necessary. However if you are not, please read on.

In 2008, two great minds came together to create the best off-road vehicle ever. The brief included size, power, strength, reliability and range. To be used for navigating the African and Asian continents.

Between FRONTRUNNER & UNICAT, this was achieved.

Using the most heavy duty G Wagon platform available, 7 of these Swiss Military specification vehicles were put on special order from MB. Not available for private purchase as individual units.

HD chassis, HD axles, ROW-spec OM642 engine and transmission… 4t HD braking system etc…

The vehicles were sent to UNICAT in Germany for their next stage of modifications and outfitting.

To include some of the additions:

2 x Auxiliary fuel cells, max capacity 233ltrs

1 x 80ltr fresh water tank, pump & outlet inc ambient shower.

2 x Viair compressors

Koni suspension

Storage applications

2 x spare wheels

Koni suspension

Warn winch

Secondary fuel filtration

2 x National Luna fridges

The OM642 3.0 TD engine, was factory fitted without the DPF and crap from the civilian counterparts.

Resulting in a fool proof power plant that can run on low grade fuel.

24v & 12v electrical systems running factory alternators, 24v starting and 12v runs the vehicle.

Onboard inverter

24v kettle…

Feldon Shelter (NZ) Hawk nest RTT

Frontrunner Awning

Frontrunner swing bracket for awning

Frontrunner table under roof rack

UHF/vhf icon radio

Tyre pressure monitor

CarPlay Pioneer DD headunit with reverse camera

2 x Frontrunner Gullwing glass units

6 x BFG KM3 tyres, served 1 trip and still not far off full capacity.

Cruise control

Ice cold AC

Currently at 98k kms on the clock, serviced every 5k kms, it’s a fantastic, smooth and powerful unit. The 5spd auto box is beautifully refined.

Front, centre & rear difflocks give the vehicle unstoppable traction.

Any questions, please message me.

Equally you’ll find everything you need to know online.

This particular vehicle was used by Scott Brady on 2 separate expeditions in Africa and subsequently he used it for two YouTube videos.
‘The Cradle of Adventure’

These were/are spectacular vehicles!! Wondered where they went… IIRC you could title/register them in Switzerland for International use at the time?!
GLWS for likely the best ‘factory’ adventure rig ever built!!
