Does the 3.5 require premium fuel to get the best performance out of the boosted engine?
They don't "plummet" under any kind of load. The worst they will do is get about the same MPG while towing as their V8 powered counterparts, while giving far better performance.
I have a '15 w/a 5.0L and 3:73's. Trailer is about 4,500 lbs. It's a tent trailer so not real wind resistance. I lose about 2 mpg towing. I want to say approx 17-18 MPG towing? This isn't even close to true.
My 2007 Toyota Tundra with the 5.7L gets 17 miles per gallon. When I haul the same trailer it only drops to 13.5 miles per gallon. Both of these are at the same 75 miles per hour like the F-150.

I won't be tuning it. Stock is reliable, I have a Mustang to go fast. If this isn't a strong enough truck I should have bought a 250.

I do not use premium. Never have, never will. Truck runs fine, even when towing.Does the 3.5 require premium fuel to get the best performance out of the boosted engine?
Hey Greg - how did the Falcons affect the ride comfort? I love the plush ride on mine but I'm already going to E-rated ATs from the P-rated all seasons. I've read that the Bilstein leveling shocks are noticeably firmer than stock. I wondered how you felt about the Falcons in that regard.
