If you still have all the EFI stuff from the 350 (and if it's still on the vehicle) - you can easily start the 500 with the 350 gear on it. All we have to do is a quick distributor adapt.... again, I used to run 350s using 4.3 tbis...

the TBI throttle body size is (this is by memory which is faulty at times) is 490 for V6, 570 for SBC, and 670 for BBC. What's important to note is that if it isn't big enough, the truck will fall on its face.... of course, if you have a large enough carb and not enough head flow it would fall on its face too... point is, you won't notice it until at least 3800 to 4000 rpm.... and you will describe it as running out of breath. That means you can start, tune, and run your vehicle as-is and it will run okay. Of course, once you optimize it - that's when the wow factor comes in. Then you'll have the largest TBI body, the larger injectors, custom tune, etc, etc, etc. My point is you can get it on the road with what you already have

Mt. Rainier shakedown
Took the Suburbillac up the NW face of Mt. Rainier during a winter storm advisory. Absolutely no snow to speak of. Kind of disappointed but the road to Mowich Lake really needs to be repaved. Shame to see how much they have logged around there, the land now looks so barren.
The Suburbillac worked fine and had opportunity to take the beast through a rather thick mud hole. Chugged right through with no trouble on the 350, the 500 Caddy should have no trouble with any obstructions. The next task for the inside to set up the electrical system for the 'living area' and the on board air compressor with its pneumatic connection to the rear bumper which doubles as a compressed air tank.
