The "yet to be named" tundra build

What gen Taco did the plate come from so you could use the OME coils? Do you have a picture of your coilover all put together; 5100's and OME? Just wonder what exactly I need to do this.

Thanks,
Derek

What's the update on the 5100 with OME? I am in need of new suspension on my 2000 Tundra and can't decide which option to go with.

I am still loving it. Nice and stiff but but not crazy on the wash board.

I did notice that both of my CV are throwing grease but neither one of them is cracked. I do have the 1" dif drop and I am going to look at using clamps over the boots.

Just cut off the factory clamp (big end of the inner boot is the typical leak point) and replace it with a 4" worm drive clamp. That one clamp normally solves any grease slinging issues with the first gen Tundras......

Well, as of last night I blew a bilstien in -34* weather. Blew the top right off. I am really disappointed with the cold weather bilstien quality. This is my third failure on three different trucks.

I still get poor mileage. My PS still leaks when really cold. Not going for a new toyota hose $$$$

I've added a set of childs seats to the back of the truck.

I LOVE my Toyo M55 tires. They howl a bit but the offroad and onroad characteristics are fantastic.

I think I have 280000km on the truck.

Maybe due for spark plugs? Try a junk yard for a hose? They are tricky to remove.

I responded back before our first was born and asked about how the Tundra was with the family as we had one on the way. We also now have two kids and you were right when you told me to be prepared for never sleeping again. I bought a 2011 4Runner Trail Edition and with 2 kids and a dog I am looking for a 1st ten double cab like yours. I just sold the 4Runner

Your truck is one of my favorite builds on Expo and thanks for keeping it up to date. I will find a double cab soon and will be copying a few of your mods

Thanks again for the build and congrats on your second child

hey thanks. The tundra took an unfortunate hit last night. I had it parked out on the street and somebody decided to play pinball off a half dozen vehicles. Police showed up at our door to inform us as we heard nothing and they where trying to chase them down. $700 insurance deductible unless they catch the guy.

The slider took the brunt of it. White paint all a long its edge. we were the 5th car hit and the cop said we had the most parts of the other guys vehicle near us. White SUV/truck of some sort. Wife is due tomorrow so it kinda sucks for timing. I go to see the adjuster on Monday.

well good news, Jack showed up today. Unexpected home birth. My wife was in labour for exactly 37 minutes and had him on the bathroom floor! Midwife showed up just after the head popped out! exciting times!
