Alright guys since I have bought way to many Toyota pickups this year, I decided to get a 1st Gen 4Runner to ad to the fleet of raggity vehicles. Well I accomplished both of my goals. Raggity, Yota, rusty and kinda crappy. I am easy to please with very low standards so pretty much rusty and kinda crappy work for me. Any how the truck in question is a 88' SR5 4runner with the 3.0 and a 5spd. Has power everything. Power windows, locks, mirrors, cruise control, and a cd player with a decent system in the back seat. Its the first truck I have had that I can listen to a cd in so I am pretty stoked there.
Anyhow here is a list of specs since we are a spec oriented group.
1988 SR5 5spd 3.0. Engine runs good but uses a quart of oil every two weeks. Has a stack of receipts from Toyota.
4.56 gears and both axles with an Aussie locker in the rear.
Ball joint spacers up front with no name shocks.
In the rear is a Zuk mod with blown rear shocks. Don't lift a truck without replacing the shocks. Well I need new shocks in the rear. No biggie there.
Wheels and tires are Tundra take offs with very slick 265/75/16 Federal Couragias. I have since replaced them with 33x10.50x15 ******** Cepek Extreme Country's on 15x7 Tacoma wheels that I had sitting in the shop. Bought 5 tires so I have a matching spare tire and wheel. If your going to do it, do it right.
Also has some poorly built home made bumpers which are getting pulled off and a set of NWTI weld together bumpers with a winch are going on in a few months. Can't have a truck without a winch. At least I can't.
Anyhow since we love pictures here are some I have. Nothing decent yet since I daily it everyday.
