Thought we should share

All i need in my JKU is a few more inches to have a very comfortable bed. Ive been working on a dimilar design myself.
I figure i can combine a rear storage area and slide out for a stable bed extension.

Slide out and drop legs if you need to. My question is how to create walls for the Scout II... I would just have to build it and show it in photos.

It looks like it would take up alot of room when stored and weigh much more than a tent. You would have to remove eveything from the rear including the seat to be able to sleep in it.

I don't like how it's always out. If it was on rollers and could be pulled out then have fold down legs, I think that would be more useful.

Kinda reminds me of the old CJ-2A extension. I've seen one of these on the Rubicon.

Always out? Not sure I'm on the same page as you, cuz it seems like in the first pics that it folds up behind the rear seat. No?

I mean, yeah, it takes up a good bit of room behind the seat, (that what you mean?) but It's a pretty good trade off, in my opinion.

Anywho, I think its a GREAT idea, and would very much change the ability to load up 4 dudes and/or chicks and their gear or 2 guys w/ mtn. bikes without having much at all on the roof.

I've been thinking about a very similar idea for my LJ. I was thinking with a tailgate conversion, a zip in extension and no rear seat, I've got 6'5" of sleeping space!

I guess for a temp. sort of thing it's OK. I wouldn't want to be loading up a lot of weight that far back. Although if you're carrying like bicycles, wouldn't it be easier to just use a hitch mount?

The floor looks to be made from extruded steel. Might be a bit drafty for sleeping.

Hi folks

Please make sure you check out the latest crewbed. It has been updated with taillights so it is legal everywhere. The sleeper tops seem to be getting the most interest for camping. Stay off the hard ground and stay dry. The hard and soft tops are currently being re-worked and I will post new pics as soon as they are done. One buyer just went hunting and said he will send me pictures of his success. He said the gate worked awesome for him out there.

Welcome to the Portal. Are you the owner of the company? Perhaps an introduction is in order?

Do share the photos when you can.
