Anyone ever seen them? Made them? I was thinking that it would be a pretty easy prject and would make sleeping in the truck much better.

I like the look of those, I think there have been a few posts about such a product. I am thinking more of a replacement for the soft top windows.

I am currently trying to find some ruined windows that I can cut up and sew in screens instead of the clear parts and sew in screens.

Or perhaps sew screens in IN ADDITION TO the clear parts? That would be tight as hell.

ahahahha, well yes. (ok I did have a sarcastic comment to say)

But now you made me go and think about it and I think your right.... man why do I even ask for your guys thoughts.

I am picturing cutting out the plastic, sew in the screening but also sew on zelco tape on the outline of them. Then sew the opposite side of the tape on to the pastic.

This is a way better route, means I can keep mud off the screens on my way to prime camping spots.

There is approximately 6 1/2 feet between the dashboard and the tailgate in a TJ...plenty of room. It gets a bit narrow at the center console, but if I can fit....so can almost everyone else.

I am not too tall 5'9" but I am also "young and dumb" which I am pretty sure is why I have being able get away with it. Although as I get more mature I have made the decision to use my head to make the experience more enjoyable hence:

It's true some TJ's do have full metal doors. Mine does during the winter, but during camping season up here in the great white north I usually run half doors with soft tops.
