i don't bother with craftsman anymore. why pay extra to get craftsman, when it's going to break just as much as harbor freight or that cheap set someone got you as a christmas white elephant gift? may as well spend a little extra more and get true quality like snap-on, or at least mac or matco or klein.

if the tool has a moving part on it, i try to get snap-on or mac. admittedly, i have some craftsman combo wrenches, but i've broken enough 3/8dr ratchets to know better now. put any decent amount of torque on craftsman ratchets, and be prepared for some bloody knuckles!

I just landed a pelican 1550 and it is going to be the platform for my tools and recovery gear. I had a battery cable come loose yesterday on the trail and took me 3 min and dumping half my tools out to find the right wrench. I am going to do the wrench roll setup and socket strips. Should be a really sweet setup when i am done i will post pics. Just got the case cleaned up since i got it used. I have wheeled for long enough i would NEVER use one of the craftsman little 3 drawer tool chests. Too loud with crap banging around and could never keep it organized. BTW the pelican 1550 fits PERFECT behind the jeep rear seat snug and doesnt budge!

My Craftsman wrenches aer WAYYYY better quality than my Harbor Freight stuff. Just sayin' ..... :ylsmoke:

I run craftsman, too. Haven't broken a thing in 20 years of wrenching.

Mine aren't from the latest crop, though. Maybe they've outsourced to junkier metals.

Because every time I break my craftsman stuff I just take it to Sears and they replace it for me, no questions asked.
