Minimum distance to the extrusions for cut outs should be at least 1". Distance between the openings are recommended to be at least 6-8".
As for the heat limits:
All adhesives in the panel industry will get soft at certain temperatures. Soft doesn't mean failure! It only means that you COULD get a blister. Our adhesive is reaching the critical point at 100C. We like to play it safe by leaving the FRP white. You will most likely never reach the 100C. On our last truck we vinyl wrapped the rear wall in grey. Over two years with several trips to Arizona/Utah we never had any issues.

It is nice to actually get numbers. And I wonder what a black painted panel would get up to in Death Valley right now. I would imagine 212°F is getting close to the limits of what most (non-engine) automotive adhesives are rated for.

I've had zero luck finding this data online...

I just now stuck a piece of black painted styrofoam facing the sun and it got up to 173F (100F above ambient), at 3 hrs from "high noon" with a light breeze, at 7,000 ft elevation. So >200F is likely possible with the right conditions.

Got up to 193F now with 85F ambient.

I'm sure that a couple days ago when it was 94F and <10% humidity it would have been >200F... maybe even 212F.

All pending on the model. The 5’ is nose heavy and without support I would crawl into the alcove ? . The bigger campers are fine . Therefore yes you can use the camper off the truck. Just get it as low as you can to the ground and you should be good.

So excited to see the campers hitting the road! Used by a couple that upgraded from a roof top tent. They love it! especially happy that they didn’t loose the tailgate function and therefore the backup camera. All weekend they used the gate as a work table and place to put their shoes etc. Next step is the electrical supply to the truck and hooking up the portable diesel heater for off season camping

Thank you for the heads up! It's important to get this feedback as customer service is very important to us! I know that they are swamped with inquiries the same we are. Keeping track and following up with everyone is sometimes difficult. We are both small business that are experiencing huge growth... Just hired another couple of employees just to process inquiries.
