Tow Vehicle: New F350 vs New E350 Cutaway

Forgive me if this isn't the right forum. Towing goes hand in hand with trailers.

Assuming properly equipped TV and appropriate trailer and payload, it seems to me a E350 with a small box (read van) or even a service/utility body would be a great TV. But it's so rare. I haven't seen much discussion anywhere.

In my view a van has some great advantages over a pickup for any kind of adventuring.

Is there something obvious I'm missing that makes pickups so ubiquitous over heavy duty vans?

I don't own either but I'm in the planning stages for our next phase of road life.

Thanks!

Soooooo...I had some bad assumptions before I rechecked my research. It appears even a base F250 has better tow numbers than a E350. I'm guessing the answer is going to look like for more than anything than a weekend getaway small camper a pickup is simply going to have a better towing experience for the long term.
