Toyota Land Cruiser 70-Series Double Cab Pickup Coming?

Looks like we may soon have a new 70-series to dream about (at least those of us who can't buy them in the US). A factory double cab version of the Land Cruiser pickup. Very cool.

I would even accept a 1GR version, like in South America. Hopefully, Toyota will sell us basic versions on the J150 or J200 Land cruisers, once their US specific models get the axe in a few years.

While I am a dyed-in-the-wool Land Cruiser guy, and think the 70 is just about the best SUV type truck platform ever made, the new quad cab couldn't be any homelier; even by JDM standards. My favorite quad cab remains the Land Rover Defender 130 Quad cab--a thing of beauty, however a beast of burden....
