Trail list idea..

What do you guys think of this idea..

Since that trailer we just aquired was rented out and Mario owned it for many many miles.... i was thinking it would be neat to put a list of places the trailer has been on the back tailgate?

The only drawback.. is that we cannot say 'we' personally have taken it... but i still think it would be neat.

here's what Mario sent me so far..

John Bull, several times
Rubicon, twice
Baja, at least halfway down, six times
Camino Del Diablo
Mojave Trail
Death Valley & environs, too many times to count
Poison Spider Mesa
Hell’s Revenge
Pyramid Lake, NV
And numerous other trails that I don’t know the names of in CA, NV, AZ, UT, MT, WY, OR, WA, Baja, Alberta and British Columbia

What do you all think?

Then we would add our trips to it as we go. Kind of like one of those USA map things.. but a list of trails instead.

Cool Idea, if it was my new trailer I would just put the trials that I personally did though.

I had the pleasure of camping next to your trailer and the trophy, man that thing is sweet!

I took it to Yosemite over the 120 and then back over the 120 to the 395 and into Devil's Postpile/Agnew Meadows for a week of camping, hiking and fishing this past summer. You are lucky you have your own tent to add to the trailer....the mattress on Marios' tent left a little to be desired from all the use LOL.

I think your idea is great, I want to do the same thing but am wondering how to put the places on. I have decals from places on my Jeep but as said not trails except in Moab. A shop that makes decals or a talented painter? Thanks for the idea and I hope you don't object to my borrowing it.

I like the idea. I really wanted to buy a Baja bug that had a dash placard for every race it had ever chased. Man, did that thing have some history!!

Die-cut vinyl stickers would be a shorter term solution. I would think those could be made by someone on the web somewhere. Beyond that I've no ideas.

How about ... "this trailer has been:" and then a fat list under it?

I just think it's neat it has so much history being a early model and all.

If you want to keep track....somehow..........

The previous idea of vinyl stickers is great!

How about.............

You could use One Color vinyl steeekers.....for the previous owner trips.

And another color for your own trips.

This would give the whole list..........but it would be easily seperated by color and owner.

Once you finally sell the trailer and upgrade....and you know you will.......hehe. The new owner can ad his own color trip vinyl steeekers... and continue the theme.

Maybe there is some place to put a big US Map, then small text or dot locating each trail. Maybe hard, just brainstorming your idea, which is a cool one.

Your Horizon has also been through Coyote Canyon.

I was out wheeling with my wife in said canyon and along comes Mario pulling that Horizon. I had never seen one before and I was impressed as it just rolled along the trail. When Mario and the other vehicle in their group stopped to make camp, I couldn't believe how fast he was able to whip up a gourmet meal and mixed drinks.

That was like 4 years ago.

Finally got around to doing this...... came out good i think. The die cutter that makes our stuff tried cutting out the letters, but it was too difficult. So we went with a clear background with black letter printing. This way whenever i want to add to the list, we simply print up a new whole decal and pull the old one off.

These are all the places i've been with or without Yosh/Dixie and with or without the LC and AT. We need to get out of the Southwest... just don't have enough time off at any given point. Can't wait until i add Arctic circle someday.

PS, after i applied it i found a mispelled word... so yes.. it has character too
