While that is true as of right now, what is that warranty going to be worth when Sears goes under? While I have no doubt the Craftsman brand will be sold off, will the new owner honor the the existing warranty?

True Value Hardware has been carrying Craftsman tools for a while.......most of my tools are very old so if I never get warranty service I still feel like I have gotten my money's worth.

I have returned a couple of broken Craftsmen sockets and rachets at ACE and had no issues at all. Only difference is that they have to fill out a form vs Sears just exchanging the tools.

I use an old LowePro Camera case as my primary tool bag in the Jeep. Here the contents are spread out on the F-150's tailgate.

And all packed up.

I also have an old Makita 12V drill, that I added a set of power cables to, in a milk crate with my Hi-Lift base and winch weight.

Nice set up! I like that pelican style case! What brand is it?

It's actually a company called SPG; appears to be a small US based competitor to pelican-ironically it was what I found when I went to the alleged Peli dealer, in the UAE.

3-lb hammer will do what a 5-lb will do. And a 3-lb splitting maul will do a lot more in the same tool.
