Pretty cool, where did you go to see elk in GA?
The fall color change should have been great this weekend.

Our little pit looks just like your pit/shepherd mix (right?) without the black tipped ears or tail. She also wears a red coat when camping in cool weather. Best camping buddy ever, but a bit cold-blooded. Ours sleeps *in* the foot box of our sleeping bags!

I've think we've taken many of the same pics, with the dog on our laps in front of a fire trying to stay warm!

Nice to see that canopy up, havnt tried it yet, and not sure I'm looking forward to it either. How much of a pain is it?

It looks harder than it is; the hardest part for me is retrieving the poles from the storage box underneath. Then just use two of the poles at one end as a pair of long arms and haul it up and over. I'm going to try and deploy it next time before opening the tent and see if it's easier.
Trying it alone or on a windy day might be another story.

great to see pics :)

as the Canopy thing goes you should try mine which is heavy canvas !!!!!

the trick I found was to take two poles and two people

pop up your tongue box lid and kind fold it up into that area it makes with the lid up that keeps it off the ground more
then with the two poles stick them in two of the holes leaving the middle one empty

then lift it and walk it back toward the rear while lifting high up over your head as you can

the hardest part is not getting it dirty and keeping it off the ground !

trying to just slide it up over with my sticky canvas is a royal pain and trying to stand up on the sides is a pain cause the tent on the other side gets in the way

I had thought of having a line on that middle grommet between the two poles and having a 3rd person help pull it over :)

but I have done it with one person its just a pain two people is much easier

We kept it clean deploying it but gave up when we took it down and tried to fold it.
