Trailer cover

There is a fabric available that is, essentially, something like Sunbrella that has had vinyl pressure impregnated into it. It is supple and water proof, but not very stretchable. My local boat canvas guy plans to use it to make the cover for the tent on my TrailBlazer.

Same thing I have my RTT covers made out of over the years. Not sure what it's called but it works.

Tarp

This cover was made by a tarp manufacturer that covers semi trailers. They put in two bows side to side then a large rachet strap that is on top of the bows from front to back.

It will be determined how it does in keeping out dust, the tarp people say these seal very well.

Where I boondock you don't have to worry about people stealing anything because it is on private ground in the middle of nowhere.

Oh I'm interested in your under the back tire stowage. I'm looking to ditch my current mount throw the spare I underneath and move forward with my project.

Spare tire

I went to a local salvage yard and picked a spare tire carrrier off an 89 Chevy pickup for 25.00. The brackets were made by a friend of mine and welded it up. It will work well for my use.

That is basically what I am looking for but I want to make the bows a bit higher. I want to frame it another 2-3ft higher than my walls. I dont know if this is possible, but that is what I am looking for. How much did you pay for your tarp and bows, if you dont mind me asking?

That is reasonable. Is it safe to assume it shouldn't cost much more to build up some walls? I tried emailing 2 boat cover makers around my area so I am waiting for their replies.

I just bought this tarp hopefully it gets the job done! I had a hard time trying to find a tarp that would fit my trailer.
