Trailer Dilema

x2 on the space issue. Personally I really like the look of the "used" one you posted. Looks to be very strong and sturdy. However, the main cargo box seems much too small. If you plan on pulling the trailer on any more technical trails or wooded roads, having something strong that can take the contact from the occasional rock/tree is a plus and you want it small enough that you can actually get it through trails like that. However, you still need it to be large enough for all your gear. You will fill that "used" trailer very quickly even with the space in the back of your truck.

So it really comes down to how you plan to use it and what your space needs are.

What I do know is my simple homemade trailer is pretty strong and small enough that I'm comfortable taking it on the more techinical trails, and it has adequate space, but just barely. Ideally it would be slightly bigger to handle all my gear a bit better, but then I wouldn't feel as comfortable on more difficult tracks because of the added size and weight.

This is my 4x6' trailer packed for a 2 night camping trip for my family of 6. nearly everything is in the trailer rather than inside the truck since I've used up all my seats and the dog is in there with us. Seriously you'll be suprised how quickly you use up the space.
