Trailer wiring solution / help

My taillights have RED / AMBER / REVERSE

Im assuming it's intended to run like this RED (RUNNING BRAKE ) / AMBER (TURN) / CLEAR (REVERSE)

However the trailer harness has it setup like this running / turn / brake for right & left all on the same pole inside the junction box.

Will there be any issues not using the amber as far as registering it as a utility trailer? Or should I tap the amber into the harness for the other sidemarker lights?

Additionally I dont see anywhere for the reverse lights on the trailer harness.

Usually amber is Running Light and red is for Tail/Turn/Brake.

Flat four plugs have no reverse wire. You'll need to go up(bets bet would be more common 7 prong rv connector). Depending on the state, having a light that doesn't function, your clear, might be illegal. I wpupd mount a cheap trailer light for inspection/titling then put your desired lights on.

my truck has the oem tow package which has the 7 pin round plug. i’ll look into new lights rather than cobble this along

If you have the 7 pin round then there is a reverse light wire on the truck iirc. You just need a different plug on your trailer.

Only 7 pin connectors have a reverse light wire. However, most trailers do not have a reverse light on them. I have two trailers with 7 pin connectors and neither one is using the reverse wire. A friend has a 5th wheel and it doesn't have a reverse light.

ETrailer has good options for 7 pin connectors and wiring. You can buy the connector, x feet of 7 pin wiring and a 7 wire junction box, then some 20-30’ of 4-pin wiring. Then wire the trailer from the box back with the 4-wires. Easy to add and modify trailer wiring this way. It’s what I’ve done on my last two builds, it handles marker lights, reverse lights and all really well.

i got it resolved found the reverse pin in both. my harness is just calling it aux. gonna run reverse lights.

it is a corrado. i just sold it saturday. decided i wanted a new husqvarna fe 500 and i did not paint the steering column surround PO did.
