To be 100% honest with you, the only "off road" trip I did is in Death Valley on the dirt road to race track. Just when I felt good about my first "off road" experience when we arrived at the race track a Prius pull in and park on the side of my truck.

We usually travel alone and have no experience in off road so... baby steps. :cow:

OMG! The abuse that Prius took getting up from Ubehebe Crater! That, or it took them literally all day to drive up there.

Yes, we came back out the same way. It's tempting to keep going down to Saline Vally but I know I won't make it without some experienced people's help.

Hunter Mtn Rd. isn't nearly the challenge that Lippencott poses. I think it's more scenic too. Still, that is getting fairly remote for that area & would be good to have another vehicle along.

It is always humbling to find a Prius at the end of a long, rough road.

And it seems like it's always a Prius. Mad props to those fearless Prius drivers.
