Finally got around to installing my Midland 75-822 CB and Firestick antenna using a Labrak mount.

Super straight forward mounting of the Labrak, you just have to use the Fire Ring coax to get the cable to thread through correctly
I ran the coax inside the rear panel and up towards the rear driver side door, under the door sill, then under the driver seat into the center console. I wanted a clean install, which is why I went with this particular CB - it's 100% out of the way when not in use.
I removed the cig lighter and used that spot to mount up the jack for the coax. I was really hoping it would fit well in the whole left by the lighter, but the whole was too big. Headed to Home Depot and picked up some aluminum sheet and cut to fit with some tin snips. Drilled out the holes and sprayed with rattle can. It's not perfect, but from the driver seat it looks pretty damn good.
All set up, still need to head towards the highway and make sure it actually works.
Lastly, I used a LifeProof LifeActiv mount for mounting the CB to the dash. I originally used this to mount my phone (and still do) and figured I'd try it out for the CB as well - works like a champ. It's magnet based and you just twist to release, pretty slick.
Here is the base, attached to the blank on the dash - just attached with 3M adhesive tape.
Same for the other side of the mount, on the back of the CB here.
