TrekboxX drawer system for JK idea thread

Are you planning on having a JK setup at Overland Expo 2015?

I doubt I'll make it this year. I am changing positions at work, so I won't have much time off for a while. Question for those of you interested in storing a stove under the fridge- which stoves/models are you thinking?

I think most of us are thinking of something like this :

Btw. i love the table - cutting idea - as well as the folding option for the cutting board.
Now imagine there's a stow below. Wouldn't it be awesome to have the cutting board divided by 2 - so you can use one i.e. as a windshield to access the underlying stove - and the other half as cutting board still ?

I have a 2dr JK & ARB fridge ( with slide ) - rear seats removed.

Also since i am thinking a while already about a proper storage system - i have my compressor for the lockers mounted in that small under the trunk compartment and planning on putting a water pump there as well.
Having a small switchboard with a place for some rocker switches would be great.
And maybe use the mounting brackets for the rear seats to mount the drawers - maybe in a kind of quick disco system ?

This is the general layout that I would like to do in my JKUR. I am planning on removing the subwoofer and interior paneling. Perhaps spraying with bedliner or some more specific sound deadener. My preference is for the kitchen to be separate from the vehicle. I am thinking a "chuck box" and table that gets tied down on top of the drawer / fridge system.

Hey guys- just a heads up on the progress on this project. I'm getting close to finishing the prototype for the JKU. As of now there will be 2 base systems- one very similar to the Alpha System I offer for the LC. A Partner Steel or similar stove will fit in the shallow drawer. The other system will be a single large drawer with a sleeping platform option and upper shelf option. I have worked very hard to lighten the system for the Jeep. The single wide drawer system hasn't weighed in officially yet, but I can easily throw it in the back by myself. I also have designed a new handle for a quick one-handed opening system. These systems use 4 of the existing cargo bolt holes, and will ship assembled. They should be quite easy to install and remove if necessary. You will also have access to the cargo area under the rear floor. I think you guys will be very pleased. Once this system is finished, hopefully in the next few weeks, I'll have all the data I need to press the go button on both systems. More to come!

Definitely interested in pictures, I'm about to build a new drawer system to replace my old box. I'd like to check out your design before I build mine if it suits my needs I may just buy from you.

If anyone is interested in these boxes I can say after seeing them first hand out in moab for a few days it made me envious if David's set up. Some of the finest craftsmanship and most thought out design I've seen. Yea arb boxes are nice but in all honesty this is another level. Now to start saving quarters...

Will the boxes go around the sub or is the sub removed for maximum cargo capacity? I'm looking to maximize drawer width. Removed my sub, can't even tell it's gone.

Thanks guys! It requires the sub to be removed. Frankly, I refuse to design around the sub. It's really poorly placed and easily moved. I think it's around $150 for the non-sub trim panel and bezel.

Thanks for the quick reply. I operate my 2dr with the rear seat removed. I'm wondering if the 4dr unit would fit that way?
