Here is a huge grouper that was speared. It made the one I caught look like a baby. The picture does not do it justice.

This is near Catavina,

Lots of interesting rocks,

Nice cactus,

Feb. is the time to start planning the next trip down there already looking forward to it. To much cold is not fun.

Those rock formations are limestone! That means that at one point all that was underwater, because we all know that limestone comes from coral.

You are correct, they are granite. It's amazing what erosion can do over the centuries.

It is amazing there are some huge boulders that are hollowed out and only a shell left it seems. Not sure how they eroded.
