Trip Video: The Maze District of Canyonlands National Park

Great trip report and video. We've been out there twice and look forward to making more trips to do more exploring.

What a great trip, video and pictures! Thanks for posting. Do you think a Jeep towing an Adventure trailer would do ok on the switchbacks of the more technical roads you did on this trip?

Great report! I want to hit the Maze one day.

It was great meeting some of your crew on the Cruise Moab event. We ran Hells Revenge with Slee. One guy in our group (charles) had the major front IFS diff housing break and dumped gear oil everywhere.

We met up with Steve and his group at the gas station in Hanksville. We traveled with them to The Dollhouse, and then the next morning our group split. We took an eight mile loop down into the Maze with Gordon and Jessica. We stayed another night at the Dollhouse. It was a extremely windy restless night. We all met the next day around noon. Thinking we'd be slower, we headed out of the Maze on our own, but were never caught. The rest of the group it appears went to the Maze overlook. We finished out trip at Ray's in Green River.

These first pictures are from our first day with Steve and the group.

These pictures are from day two hiking in the Maze. The pictographs are part of the "Harvest Scene." Fun, but no where near as clear and elaborate as what we see in Nine Mile Canyon.

Day two continued. The kids did really well, but I did carry my son quite a ways when we got back on top.

Day Three. Before leaving The Dollhouse, we hiked to the granaries that are in the area. Then we headed for the Flint Trail, Ray's Tavern for a burger, and then home.
