I don't always think of taking pictures when I'm doing stuff, so I probably didn't post anything about my winch solenoid setup. While I was working on my in-cab winch remote, I was also looking for a good solenoid to control the power to my winch. I hate having that long stretch of #2 cable powered all the time (in case of an accident, for example, it can create a nasty short). I finally found a 225A continuous duty relay than can handle spikes of 600A. I paired this with a 250A ANL fuse. I'm pretty sure I can stall the winch for several seconds (400A+) and the solenoid & fuse should be fine. Of course, in case of a short, that fuse might still take a little time to pop -- enough to melt the cable, but (hopefully) not long enough to start a fire. 
There's a row of relays under the solenoid/fuse mount that I hope will never need replacing. And if you have good eyes, you'll see another fuse holder towards the top of the picture that isn't finished wiring yet. It's a 150A fuse that will be connected through the firewall to the BICs and backup battery.

Outstanding build and thanks for all of the photo's. Could you take a couple of pics showing how the awning is attached to the rack and how it opens up. I like how there is no outboard poles or guide wires. I'm thinking of how it would be to fab one (support structure) myself and attach it to my wilderness rack on my WJ. Thanks.

Since the awning is a bit longer than the _flat_ surface of the roof rack's sides, I had to extend the flat side of the awning mounts inwards a bit. The raw aluminum pieces you see above were bolted to the mounts:
Then the flat pieces were drilled and some backing plate used to 'sandwich' the roof rack sides:
I already removed the awning for the winter, so I can't show you a detailed shot of the mount ON the roof rack, but here's one of the backside with the mount assembled.

First flat tire...
This is our first vehicle, so it was just a matter of time before we had our first flat too. Luckily it happened while it was parked. The unfortunate part is it's a sidewall cut. A few of them. I have to drive down to Champlain NY anyway to pickup some parts, so I'll just add a tire to the list.
Would you guys suggest I practice my tire skills and change it myself (I have all the tools), or have my guys at the garage mount it? It's an aluminum wheel, so I'm a little concerned about scratching the inner surface. I don't really care about the outside surface of the wheel -- it has plenty of rock rash already.

It's a really excellent awning, although we haven't had it in the rain yet. There's no much (if any) incline, so perhaps a pole to push up the center will be necessary. I might get a patch sewn into the center for this just in case...
