Trucks of Argentina

I came across a 2008 buyers guide for heavy trucks, pickups and vans down here.

There were lots of interesting possibilities for expedition rigs.

There are a variety of models not sold in the U.S.

They would be excellent candidates for building the camper pod in the U.S. and shipping it to a foreign market for installation and exploration.

I scanned the relevent pages and posted the PDF here: http://hackneys.com/travel/rigs/argentinatrucks.pdf

I can´t test that PDF link in this internet cafe, so let me know via PM if it doesn´t work.

The .pdf link worked great. Nice find! It was good to read some castellano.
I liked the look of that dcab Hilux. Did I read that correctly in the 'ficha técnica' that it's a turbo diesel? Some of those cab-overs looked pretty nice too.

So if I am correct, you can get a Ram 2500 with a Cummins 5.9L in Argentina?

that's awesome - it means you could get spare parts should you need it...

it looks more and more like this could be the platform for my next expedition truck...

:)

The Toyota Hilux is the same available here in Oz. The plus is that here are heaps of new accessories available for that ute.
The Hilux is the biggest seller in Oz follow by the Nissan and the Rodeo (Isuzu)
