Tundra TRD PRO Mild Overland Build

For the past 2 years I have been drooling over all flavors of vehicles you fine people have cobbled together. I have been so close many time to pulling the trigger on a vehicle but haven't done it. From LC's to LR's and everything in-between. Well I finally decided on a vehicle that I think will suit the needs of my family for many years to come. A 2015 Tundra TRD PRO will serve as my platform for a family camping, exploring, pulling, hauling, and just about anything else I can think of vehicle. I wanted a vehicle that was reliable and that I didn't have to do a bunch of suspension modifications to out of the box. The TRD PRO comes stock with a great setup for the kind of terrain I plan on being in. I plan to chronicle my slow build up over the next few months. Here is a partial list of mods and accessories I hope to add to my truck. I have already added a Pack Rack from All-pro that will carry my RTT, Hi-lift, Gas cans, ect….Please feel free to give me your feedback and advice along the way. Thanks!

Future Mods:
1. LED lighting to front and rear
2. Bed storage solution
3. RTT and awning
4. Portable refrigerator
5. Water storage
6. CB/Radio setup
7. Winch

I am sure I am missing things but this is my list to start. I have a trip planned to Death Valley in November with some friends to do some exploring and outdoor education with our kids. Hopefully I will have the RTT and other necessities installed by then.

Here is a picture of my truck on our first camping trip. More pictures to come!!

That is a superb base platform and your plans sound terrific. I look forward to seeing this evolve as well as firsthand reports on the TRD Pro.

Add solar power to your list :)
