What does "If you need a V8" mean?
Usually those people fall in to two groups :
1. Can't have a full size truck and not have the V8 rumble.
2. Those who have never actually driven an EcoBoost.

Need to have? Maybe want.... I fit that bill. I'll always choose the V8 if it's an option.
I will admit I have never driven the eco boost, but I want to. Drove a tundra liked it a lot, now I just have to get my a** behind the wheel of a eco boost. Have a friend who has one he swears by it.Usually those people fall in to two groups :

Yep, different strokes for different folks. That's why it's nice to have options.I use to feel that way too... and then I was handed the keys to an EcoBoost powered truck for a few years. Unless they make a V8 EcoBoost, I'll probably never own another V8 powered truck again.

By the time I'm ready to do anything there will probably be new generations of Tundra's and F-150's out.
So a whole new series of debates will have ensued by then! lol
Hybrid, Electric, possible IRS... I think all of those have been captured in spy shots. Who knows what's coming.Definitely!!! Since I bought my 2017 they have added the 10 speed and dual injection to the 2.7. I can only imagine what is in the pipeline.
IRS is interesting, I'd consider it...as taboo as it was just a few years ago. Great ground clearance too, sign me up.Hybrid, Electric, possible IRS... I think all of those have been captured in spy shots. Who knows what's coming.
I'd love to have IRS. It's already under the Excursion... makes sense that it will find it's way under the F150.Hybrid, Electric, possible IRS... I think all of those have been captured in spy shots. Who knows what's coming.
I'll pass on IRS for the same reason I'll pass on rear coils. I'm not convinced it will tow my trailer as well as leaf springs.

It's an engineering problem that I'm sure can be figured out, re; towing. Air bags come to mind, but I'm sure there are other options too....
I see lots of 1500 Ram's squatting while towing appropriate length trailers. (Maybe overweight? can tell)Dodge seems to have no problems towing with rear coils.
