"Kia plans to introduce an EV pickup truck based on a new EV platform designed for both urban and outdoor use," (the company announced recently). "The vehicle will feature best-in-class interior and cargo space, a robust towing system, off-road capabilities and advanced infotainment and safety features."

It’s rather disappointing that the teaser press release completely ignores any mention of range.Because, what? No buyers give a 💩 about vehicle range anymore? 😵‍💫

More optimistic news per the clearly glp treated article:

“Kia is expecting to sell roughly 90,000 of these new EV pickups per year, a lofty goal in a market where the Ford F-150 Lightning is barely hitting 30,000 units sold. By most accounts, it's an ambitious sales goal to hit for a vehicle that'll represent Kia's first attempt at appeasing the US truck buyer market… Kia pickups will likely be made in the US, helping avoid costly tariffs that will drive up prices…”

(Best line of the story) “It is likely that price will be a major factor for consumers in the coming years." (Clearly written by Captain Obvious 🤣)

Second new release on electric trucks coming…a Nissan Frontier Hybrid. This updated info was released only about two weeks ago.

So, clearly, Nissan’s premature death has been an off target prediction by many of the auto writers.

This new gear hauler could be a game changer for Nissan. And me? I think I’d still go with the PHEV like this over the pure battery powered road runners.

“Nissan is preparing to inject new life into its mid-size Frontier pickup. The company confirmed to MotorTrend at the New York Auto Show it plans to add a plug-in hybrid model to the truck's lineup by 2028. It also plans to consolidate the Frontier and the Navara, a similarly sized pickup sold outside of North America, into one model.”

According to a Car and Driver story:
The Frontier Pro's powertrain uses a turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine that combines with a transmission-mounted electric motor to produce 402 horsepower and 590 pound-feet of torque. According to Nissan, models bound for the China domestic market are targeted to offer around 83 miles of EV-only range,
