Gents,

I've tried to get the online EPC to work to no avail. Is there anyone here that can run a VIN on a U1300 that I am debating pulling the trigger on?

The VIN in question is (WDB) 435 1151W142987

Any assistance is greatly appreciated!

I wish it was a 2001! -but it's supposed to be a 1987 U1300L Ambulance w/the OM366A and Fast Axles..

Yes, the commercial trucks seem have a different VIN arrangement than the passenger vehicles, which would explain a lot. I also read that the commercial MB use the "18th" digit as the check number, which was even stranger. I don't believe that VIN sequences were standardized until 1988 which means your search may be even harder.
