Started on the spare tire mount. Simple and effective. Deciding if I want to order a tire mount plate or make one. Also need to mount my spare to make sure its placed well

Worked on my bumper, little plasma cutting and drilling.

Looks off center soo the hummer cap can fit straight.

Replaced my batter with a grp 29 deep cycle. Has 119 Ah same one I had in my teardrop. Also picked up a small impact just for the camper legs at harbor freight. Once I get my replacement bag not much left to do really.

How do you like the suspension? Any changes if you were doing it again? I'm assembling my Neons game plan and suspension choice is still In the air...

So far so good! Haven't had it on a dirt road yet lol. One thing I would change is the shock placement. I'm ok right now, but putting the shock in a vertical position would help out a lot. Something I will probably do later on. I didn't realize the amount of room above my subframe to the trailer floor. Will build some custom shock towers.

Got to take the trailer out last weekend. Was my shake down first camping trip! Soo far performed flawless! Need to get OBA system and install a larger water tank for sure! Would like to get a big buddy heater versus using the built in furnace which is loud. Some pics

How'd you like your suspension set up? I wanted to have started my build by now but my wife needed surgery so first things first. I plan to emulate your set up for my neon-- seems like a decent way to go and I'd love to hear your pros/cons on what to avoid and such :). Fantastic build up!

Love the suspension so far. It doesn't bounce like my teardrop did with the samurai springs. I was going through some pretty rough terrain and it was soaking it up. I would probably never do a leaf spring suspension again on a trailer. At camp having the air dumped helped with the stability. My biggest con is I haven't sprung for the firestone air system with wireless remote. My air compressor on my hummer is on the front bumper and my hose was 3ft to short to reach the fill ports. Going to borrow a gopro next time and film the suspension.

As others have said, an awesome build. You have some unique talents with steel and it is to be admired. The suspension geometry , etc. is very impressive. Looking forward to seeing the GoPro record the action from the underside perspective....

I think I need a bigger truck!
Looked awesome out on the trails, very controlled and not too bouncy. My leafs on my trailer are pretty stiff, and I have shocks to dampen them out, but it still wobbles a lot more than I would like. I like the remote air system idea, I need to spring (pun intended) for the air pump and switch setup for my Air Ride bags in my Grand Cherokee... they work awesome with the bumper mount filler, but it is sure nice to be able to adjust them on the go.

WOW!!

I cant stop looking over your amazing build!!

Do you have any idea on how many hrs it took you and how much you spent besides the cost of the trailer?

You sure know how to make a tone of guys jealous...
