Chris, you just plain rock dude. Looks like i'm going to have one of your kits. :wings:

Went out and saw him today, and he is a good guy and a professional mechanic.

We made a deal which involves putting matching 4:10 gears on the front.

The front axle is a Dana 50, the rear a Sterling.

The way he explained, because the gear ratio mismatch, the front pulls faster than the rear on loose sand and snow.

On the street, it threatens to break, obviously, and is never used that way.

I'm very stoked to be getting this van, and have a feeling i will have lots of questions on the forum.

Very cool! Glad its staying in the van "family"

I've got pics to update the thread but it won't let me attach anything!

Time for a Flickr (or similar) account:sombrero:
It's nice to be able to access pics from one place if you use more then one forum. And it acts as online backup for any photos you don't want to lose.

From the other posting-pics-error thread;

If you can host the picture on Flickr or Picasa or something, then to post a pic here, type into text box;

Where xxx is the URL(with .jpg at end) for the picture you want to insert.

Here's a shot of the RS001 rear skid with the Deka 8A4D battery. Still plenty of room for other goodies

That's only a 4" lift? Wow, sweet. (I'd have guessed it was 6").
Your Deka battery bracket with your logo sure is impressive.

PS--sent you a PM for after you return from the holidays, thx!
