seen a q setup ambop on 33x13.5x18 single standard front wheel & matching dual rears. guys here runnin 35 duallies run 2in spacers to keep sidewalls from rubbing under load
Some people are smart enough to do this in the right order. Bigger question - How are you going to get 35's on there and keep the duallies? custom wheels, spacer between?

Remember there's a guy her who had big singles on his ambo: 265/75-19,5. These are 35" but pretty narrow.
I mead a guy from Austria in Morocco who had on his F350 duallies: 255/100-16! These are huge but narrow too. I think the 255's (9.00) are near 38". 😃

So there are some options. Both above are ready for heavy loads. The 255's are for 1,800kg each!

I am not against running a spacer, except I already have one at the rear to change from 8x6.5 to 8x170 (Matches the donor front axle). Not really good to run an additional spacer between the tires...

And I would love to use 255/100-16 if anyone sold them here, not available AFAIK

hi, right- the only company still producing is Michelin. At least in Europe. Michelin produces in the forecast way and only once a year. that's what i read and the hard availability underlines that. These are up to 450€/each! These are only in the good old XZL profile made.
Through there are some good and cheap refurbished ones available too.

in the us i would go for 19.5" rims, small tires and no spacers.

Chris,

I think I have seen you have some roots in NY while surfing around. Is there a shop up here that you would trust to install your products? Driving my ambo all the way down and back is just not really an option.

Yep, kinda grew up on the island, still have family up there. I don't know of any shops that can or have done one of my conversions.

The guy in Lindenhurst who sold me my UJOR van did all the work in his parents driveway, using jacks.

(I was glad to find a completed one nearby.)

I could ask him if he wants to do another, but I'm sure you could find a mechanic who could install it.

All of our components are based around the 99-04 F250/F350 & Excursion front axles. 99-01 are all Dana 50's except the DRW trucks, 02-04 are all D60's. Excursions all had D50's, up to 05.

Gotcha. There is little to no difference in ride quality between the 4 & 6. The 6" has advantages though. Tighter turning radius, more wheel travel & we can run a trac bar which won't fit on the 4". And 35's are always nice :)
