I drool for the black vans...

I have a love/hate for them. Love the way they look but would drive me nuts trying to keep it looking nice. Especially on a big *** van!

Called Ujoint yesterday and I ordered a set of 4" springs for the rear to replace the stock springs/massive block I currently have on my advanced conversion and also a set of fox shocks for the rear. The shocks will be here sooner than the springs so if anyone is interested to know what kind of difference just adding those would make I would be happy to share once I get them mounted.

Bbasso - I love black vehicles... when they are clean. I owned a black toyota tacoma at one point and decided after that I would never own a black vehicle no matter how good it looks clean. Thats why I now own a van that is the same color as dirt.

The Fox shocks will make a difference but the big change will come when the springs go in.

A small crack was found on one of the rear shackle hangers so we blasted them off and replaced with new units from Dorman.

It shows up for me in the original post and in your quote of my post, so not sure why you can't see it, Chris.

On a two tone paint job like that, do you guys make the bottom section out of something like a bed liner or chassis under-coating to take the abuse off the paint?

I can't see it either. I'm getting a 403 warning...

I agree about black vehicles, I'd hate to own one... but when cleaned properly = Drool.

I think V7 was two tone from the factory, but I could be wrong.

So I got the rear shocks from UJoint put on, don't ask me how I did it. All I will say is if we are ever stranded and need to install new shocks with only a rubber mallet, ratchet strap and wrenches. I can make it happen.

Shocks installed while still on the lift...

First impression - They look bad ***.

Second impressions - Why don't these come stock?! Literally all I did was put these shocks on ( I still have the stock leafs with big block under) and its night and day. Before, this van would ride like an old farm truck with nothing in the bed, I would hate hitting holes in the road and every time we did hit something it would rock the whole van. Now the wheels always feel firmly planted, the holes in the road I would usually avoid I now hit just to see which one will finally make the vans rear end go loose.

Bottom line - if you avoid holes in the road with your van because your rear passengers glare at you when you don't, get these and save their brains.
