On the slider door vans, is it possible to tuck the tires in more (different wheels and/or a narrower tire) and have the door slide open all the way?

Yes. No spacers, keep the van 8 on 6.5, etc. But, the tires will run the body if the van gets twisted up. No perfect scenario besides avoiding slider doors if you can! This van was obviously a unicorn so we built it anyway.

To expand on this, there is an IG user I follow who runs a 6" UJOR kit on a sliding door van. He is running the wheel spacers and has installed a sliding door hinge extension, but is running a narrower 285/75R17 tire. The last photo in the post linked below shows the tire rubbing the inside of the door, but he says the door can open fully and "latch" in the open position.

I have a slider van heading to UJOR CO. I initially ordered narrow tires like the user above, but decided at the last minute that life is too short to not run 35's, so changed my order to a 35x12.5 and decided I will either deal with the door interference OR trim away some material from the inside of the door. I will post photos of that process if/when that happens. *EDIT* And to be clear I am getting the wheel spacers and then will be installing the sliding hinge extension once I get the van home.

That thing is rad! Composite box from totalcomposites would be a serious 4 season camper.

I haven’t checked in for a while and I thought the E series was dead long ago.

Yes!

Well, bad news from Ford yesterday! The 2023MY order banks were only open for 30 days, in Oct. We didn't get ours in so now we have to wait for the 24MY order window to open. Big bummer for these turn key builds, no clue when the 24's will be available to order but I have to assume it will be Oct this year. The good news is that the RV industry is still booming and we'll have plenty to convert!

We've got some new diff covers back in stock if you want to bling up your axle a bit. Nice having the drain plug, worth it just for that!

MN5.4 is ready for a good bath and road/shakedown miles! Threw most of our catalog at this nice low mileage van. Full clean/undercoating/bed liner under the body, 6" on 35s, Stage2 axle with RSC, loaded up front bumper, Aluminess tire carrier, Line-X on the rockers, our side steps, sPOD, OX in the rear. I'll post a video next week.

We're prepping for some snow!

Snow day! We got 8-10" so of course we went out to play. Assembled a small group of rigs and headed to the hills! Ran into some traffic and had a few stuck rigs between our crew and others, got to winch my buddies new Raptor too. Guy coming down the hill too fast forced him over and a bit too close to the edge and he was stuck.

The kids ad fun, SpecVan didn't miss a beat. Aired down to 25 and the Recon Grapplers work great in the snow.

This was in reference to new E series cutaway chassis orders?

This monster is for our local Line-X dealer and should turn some heads! The front springs are too tall, will probably swap them out after we get some miles on them to try and compress/get the shackle angle correct. V10van with a front clip swap, full color Line-X, dual shocks, 37s, Methods, etc. More info soon as we get bumpers on it and a full rack!

What color is that, hard to tell if it's copper, brown or red.
