For anyone who might still be finding this thread via search engines, here's some info/advice from a guy who owns one of these M1101's.
First off, if it wasn't already mentioned; do not pay more for an M1102 than an M1101. They are identical trailers other than the placard. I will not spend any effort here to explain, look it up. So any reference to an M1101 is valid when discussing the M1102. One in the same.
That means that either model (1101 or 1102) can carry 2740 lbs with a max GVW of 4200 lbs.
This trailer looks bigger than it is, as stated by spikemd in the previous post. If you compare this trailer to the Schutt XVenture you will see that they are very much alike, since Schutt is one of the contract manufacturers of the M1101. The XVenture is a civilianized version of the M1101. The M1101 is 10 inches wider than the XVenture, but the width of the M1101 is far more usable as the box is the full width whereas the XVenture has the box between the wheels making for far less interior volume.
If having the trailers wheels in the track of the tow vehicles wheels is a priority for you, then unless you are driving a Hummer or a dually truck, then the M1101/2 will not be your trailer.
