Used Military Trailers.....my first post

Greetings All,

My first post and have only been a member for a couple of days...

I am actively looking for a trailer and ran across a government surplus website from the Department of Defense. It was posted on a national news website.

Bidding for trailers, starting at $150? Seems like a good deal to me and might change my approach to building one.

Check it out:

the 101 and series are sized to go behind a blazer - don't go for the 105 or larger unless you are using a deuce or commercial sized rig.

these trailers are heavy, but very durable and affordable.

They did, indeed, look heavy. I was going to pull it behind a 2500HD that has a cab-over camper. Firewood, fuel, etc...and thought it might make a good utility trailer. Still need to find one for my upcoming Rubicon though...

And just realized I posted in the wrong forum for my first post. Nice....

Hey that is a pretty cool site. Search for Jeep and look at all those cool old 6x6 projects that come up. Saw a tuff looking old Blazer too!

The M101A1's have air over hydraulic brakes, the A2's (and A3's I think) have surge brakes. That makes the A1's brakeless unless you have air & glad hands on your pull rig.
