van fridge, top opening, 63qt or 86qt?

I'm strongly considering a top opening fridge between rear bucket seats for the van we plan to buy. What size would you guys go with 63qt or 86qt? looking at the small amount of extra power the 86qt pulls over the 63qt we are leaning towards the 86qt.

What would you all do? I'm mainly concerned with the amount of food and drinks you can carry for up to 5 days and the amount of room it takes up in the van.

Put in the biggest unit that fits the space.

Yup, get the biggest you can fit.

I went with the 63qt, perfect for where and what I wanted, but not enough space for 5 days food for 3 of us. I mounted it in the rear.

You don't need fridge space for ALL of the soda/beer. Just enough for night one. That's the beauty of the fridge. Pack anything that NEEDS to be refridgerated and any extra space for a couple beers/sodas. You can always add the warm ones while on the move. I could go 5 days easy in my 40qt fridge. Also depends on # of people in the van.

I dont think we will ever use 5 days worth of food but I like to plan ahead :D. We are still leaning toward the 86qt, guess I need to get the van and measure out an area before I decide if I want one that big.

one of the things that I love about the national luna fridges is the larger ones have dual doors and some even dual controls.
This means with a large space you can start with fridge/freezer then after you eat the frozen stuff change the controls to fridge/fridge
also with dual doors you can have a beverage/snack section that gets opened frequently and a side that gets opened less so it is more efficient.
