Vehicle fridge freezer: Making ice and refrigerating food/beverages.

I saw a comment on another thread and I didn't want to hijack. So it's possible to make ice AND cool food and beverages? What if you're on a severe road and your ice cubes aren't quite frozen? How do you keep the water contained?

Look at the National Luna Weekenders. The fridges have freezers and regular fridges in one unit, dual and single door units.

You fill them up with water, tie the end shut, then freeze. The water stays all in the bag until you are ready to use it to cool your g&t.

If you're worried about spillage, be a man and get some Whiskey Stones to freeze. They won't spill and will cool down your drink without watering it down. Just shove them in the freezer portion.

Say you use those Whiskey Stones for your drinks in the evening. Rinse and out them back in your National Luna before you go to sleep. Will they be frozen by next midday?

Yeah, they'll drop their core temperature pretty quickly since it's a denser solid. They should be "frozen" in a matter of about 30 minutes.
