Victory 4x4 Bumpers?

I bought a 2013 LC and am going to mildly modify it for offroad travel at home in Moab, and across southern Utah & Colorado. It will not be a rock crawler. I still have to commute back and forth to the Grand Junction airport all the time.

The rear end seems vulnerable to damage and I will install an aftermarket bumper. Eventually, I may also replace the front bumper. I’ve spent too much time researching the different options and of everything I’ve seen, I like the look of Victory 4x4 best. I’d like to hear opinions from anyone running Victory bumpers (on any rig) about fitment and quality. Good, bad or ugly, GO…..

Go with ARB. The Aussies have been beefing up Toyotas way longer than these American sheet metal companies that just stamp their logo on every angle of the product. ARB also crash tests their ********.

I like the ARB but it protrudes really far forward. Still could be an option, though.

Better investigate your bumper stuff before spending thousands for looks and frame damage in the event of an accident.

Energy from a crash has to go somewhere, if the bumper doesn't give something else will.

Everyone I know and know of that has gotten to meet a deer on these Ozark roads that has had a bull bar or grill guard, ended up with more damage than if they had not had one.

I also know an attorney who won a sizeable civil suit for a driver of a compact car that was hit by a modified jacked up, armored pick up truck. The issue was the fact that the truck was modified to be more dangerous than it should or could have been. And, MO. is not a liberal State.

I have looked at/researched these several times. They sell a fair amount for Tundras and Tacomas. I’d suggest searching for real world experiences from those that have them on higher volume forums like Tundras.com, Tacomaworld, etc.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll do that.

I would choose ARB bumpers if you want real protection. If you only want looks any other will do. When i was teaching my grand daugther how to drive she ran over a fence for a few feet and took 4 poles before stopping, instead of applying break she accelerated. No damage to my vehicle only scratches.
