Off topic from original post.
My Crew cab Chevy Colorado's owners manual also says no truck campers. At 660 pounds dry my truck easly handles the FWC Falcon. It Just depends on what truck camper you go with.
I guess it's all relative. If I can sleep in a tent at 20 below zero fahrenheit a FWC with a 12,000 BTU furnace is no problem.
Just my thoughts.

My wife would like me to put a fourwheelcamper on my Dakota 4x4. I'd put my Ural Patrol motorcycle on a small trailer and go. This set-up has some advantages but doesn't appear to handle rain or cold that well.
