Image #1:
The image lacks boundaries with the dune continuing to rise out of the corner of the frame. Namibia has a strong connection with many travelers and this image reflects an undisturbed place.
Image #2:
We all want to be in this place, with the cool morning giving way to the warmth of the rising sun. The exposure is nice, with good detail overall and no heavy HDR.
Image #3:
A lot of love in this image with several areas of visual interest. I found myself lingering on this image for some time. It tells a story.
Image #4:
Visually impressive image and an interesting vehicle. As a suggestion, move the vehicle out of the dead center with a crop or recompose a little different next time. Otherwise a great sense of wonder and wander into the unknown.
Image #5:
I love the sense of purpose and action in this image. The trekker has a downward gaze, not even noticing the photographer. The jacket is interesting and the not so perfect arrangement of the hat with near matching expression of the mouth is very genuine.
Image #6:
Just a fun picture, and technically well shot
Image #7:
WOW. That tent does look all alone in a very rugged landscape.
Image #8:
Although I am typically not a fan of such aggressive cropping, this image really works. Big tire, big world.
Image #9:
A very exotic image, especially since it is shot in South America, not Africa. Would like to see a little more of the vehicle, but this place looks almost completely untouched by man. I want to be there.
Image #10:
Yes, solitude.
Honorable Mention:
The subject is very interesting, but I think the image would benefit from a slightly different perspective and possibly some color, even just on the buoy.
Out of the box - I like it
I like the human element and visual story of the family out exploring. If the little one had been looking too, it would have even been better. Investing in a split ND filter would resolve the exposure challenge in the clouds.
