W460 suspension overhaul

I am the proud owner of an '86 280ge and I am in the process of overhauling my suspension. I've decided to go with the Sachs red/white combo springs offered by Eurotruck since they are half the price of the ORC Eibachs.
I want to go with Bilstein 7100's but I am struggling to figure out what length shocks I need. Bilstein is requesting a compressed and extended length for the OEM shocks so that they can provide the best possible advice. Does anyone know or can anyone provide these lengths for me? It would be greatly appreciated.

I am going to have the shocks revalved and probably go a slightly longer length than stock to compensate for the longer springs. I will post what the results are. My goal is to have a solid setup which will take the abuse of washboard.

Again if anyone could provide measurement lengths or even a Bilstein part number that would be awesome!

im surprised they dont have this already.

this question will likely have an answer over at clubgwagen.com. there seems to be more than a couple 460 owners over there.

Yeah, I'd post there instead too.

You don't want to extend the shocks too much without seriously looking at your brake lines and locating arms limits, etc. I'd just order the shocks from eurotruck-importers.com They already did the homework and support G parts supply in the US.

I have both ORC and red MB/white EuroTruck springs. I think my white spring is too soft.
I prefer ORC for LWB. They are stiffer and handles like a G55K going around curves
which I like. The ORC also helps if you have the Magg Airtop camper installed.

33 or 35 tires are a must if you have ORC installed. It will help dampened the ride.
