Warn Air Compressor

Warn was displaying their new line of 12V air compressors at a trade show I attended this past weekend. They look like really nice kits. I've always sorely lacked an air compressor. I loath popping quarters or being the, "Dude, can I bum some air?" guy. What do you guys think?

Holy mackeral...have you checked the price on those....$600...you could put together a nice OBA system for that.

Both models are pictured at the top, but its hard to tell because the VTC is shown from the side.

I see that now...

I wonder what they weigh, too.

Maximus, is that MSRP, or a vendor price?

I have the VTC, it's awesome. I'm in the process of mounting it under my rig, and I'll be plumbing it like an OBA system to the front & rear. I just used it yesterday to air up my 38's, ran it hard as I filled all 4 nonstop.

I've also used it to run a 1/2" impact, and it works great, even though it only runs @ 100psi.

Hello

you can give me the specifications of the VTC

that has weight?
that has long?
which has wide?
that have height?

thanks

I already mounted it, so I don't have the exact measurements. Try the Warn website, they should have the specs there.

I'm sure you already have something living in this area, but I'll show you what I did. I'll have more photos next week once e-thing is done & installed.

The compressor mounts to this skidplate along with the H2O tank....

And the whole unit goes here..........

Wow, the VTC has terrific specs! Nearly 600 litres per minute free flow, falling to over 226 L/min @ 620kPa! That's as good or better as most OBA engine-driven compressors. It's a pity it maxes out at 700kPa (100p.s.i), although that is enough for almost everything.

(I presume that air-flow specifications are always a measure of air volume at atmospheric pressure? i.e. 226 litres/minute @ 620kPa is 226 litres at atmospheric pressure, or about 36 litres @ the full 620kPa).
